Attention High School Sophomores: It’s Time to Register for Confirmation

In Confirmation we confirm the promises made on our behalf in Baptism. It helps us to focus on the missionary dimensions of our baptismal commitment. The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated in the fall of 11th grade. If your child will be a Junior in the 2026-2027 school year, please register now. There will be  an informational meeting for the Confirmation candidates and their parents on Sunday, February 22nd, at 6:30PM, in Immaculata Hall. Registration and schedule information can be found below.

Confirmation Registration Form 2026

Every Confirmand will be required to attend 8 Confirmation classes and the mandatory retreat. The classes will be held on Sundays from 6:30pm-8PM.

Click below for the list of the class & retreat dates and times:

2026 Confirmation Calendar

The Confirmation Mass date will be determined by the Archdiocese of New Orleans and communicated at a later time. Confirmands and sponsors will need to be in the Church at 5:45PM for practice.   Further confirmation requirements, including fees, are listed on the registration form below. For any additional questions, please contact the parish office at (504) 393–2334.

To show particular reverence on this occasion, the Dress Code for the Confirmation Mass is as follows:

The young ladies should wear an appropriate dress, or a skirt and blouse, with dress shoes. The dress or skirt should be of a modest length, and the tops should cover the shoulders. The young men should wear dress slacks, a dress shirt, dress shoes and a tie.  A sports coat may be worn, but not during the Mass. All of the Confirmands will be wearing red robes for Mass over their clothes. All robes will be distributed at a later date.

After the Mass, we will have a professional photographer available to take formal pictures of your child with the Archbishop. The picture information will be sent out via email.
