2024 Advent Mission at St. Andrew the Apostle
Tuesday, December 3rd & Wednesday, December 4th
7:00PM – 8:00 PM in Church
Presenter: Fr. Minh Phan
Professor at Notre Dame Seminary
Mission: Simple Ways to Connect with God
Fr. Minh Phan, a professor from Notre Dame Seminary, will be presenting the idea that if we truly believe in God, who is the source of strength and joy for us, then we must be very intentional in connecting our daily interior life with Him. It’s the only way to receive those gifts, not only for ourselves, but for our family and those surrounding us.
Please join us one or both days to start your Advent season off right!

St. Andrew’s Christmas Caroling & Outreach
Christmas Caroling will be held Sunday, December 15th, from 6-8PM, in front of Church or Immaculata Hall (if inclement weather). The event will begin right at 6PM with Caroling, a special Nativity performance, and a visit from a special friend. We will have cocoa and treats after the event in Immaculata Hall. A QR code will be added next week to sign up to come.
This event is also an outreach for the Harry Thompson Center and we will start collecting donations of gift cards (such as Rouses and Walmart) and/or cash to purchase gift cards, the weekend of November 8th & 9th, and all weekends leading up to Sunday, December 15th. The Harry Thompson Center offers many services for our homeless neighbors such as: food, hygiene articles and showers, phone calls and free wifi, help with housing, over the counter medicines, etc. These gift cards will help our homeless neighbors and the Harry Thompson Center care for them. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Special envelopes will be located in the back of church next to the bulletins for your convenience. Please give your donation to a Communio representative after Mass, place in the basket in Church, or drop off at the Parish Office by Thursday, December 12th. Thank you!

Troops of St George
St Andrew the Apostle Church is starting a new ministry, the Troops of St George, the Catholic version of the Boy Scouts. The Troops of St George is designed for boys in the 1st Grade through senior year in high school. This is a Catholic ministry for young men and their dads looking for a life of adventure coupled with virtue. It uses the outdoors as a game with a purpose. The game – to go camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and other adventures; to learn how to cook, tie knots, first aid, and other life skills. The purpose is to grow one’s faith, deepen one’s relationship with Christ, nurture the father/son relationship, build strong virtuous leaders, and to teach citizenship.
If you and your son would like to join us on many different adventures, please contact the parish office at 504-393-2334.
