October Events – Pet Blessing, Clothe-A-Child Campaign, Raising Cane’s Night, Fall Break (Campus Closed), Trunk or Treat, Communio Dinner

October Events:

Pet Blessing – We will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, October 5th, at 11AM, in the Front Circle of Church. Please bring your animals to receive a special blessing!

Raising Cane’s Night – Take the night off from cooking Tuesday, October 8th, from 4PM-7PM, at the Algiers Raising Cane’s. Just mention St. Andrew the Apostle and we will get credit for it. Thank you!

Fall Break (Campus Closed) – Monday, October 14th, is Fall Break, the Parish Office & School are closed. We will re-open on Tuesday, October 15th.

Clothe-A-Child Campaign – St. Andrew the Apostle School and Church are participating in the Clothe-A-Child campaign and will be collecting donations before and after each Mass throughout the month of October. This campaign provides gifts of newly purchased clothes for underprivileged children in the New Orleans area. These children are identified through the office of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Please consider making a donation of any size and signing up at our table to join our team of shoppers on November 6th at the Walmart on Veterans Boulevard.  Thank you for your generosity and time!

Trunk or Treat – We will have Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 19th, at 6PM, on the blacktop. The gates will open to park & decorate at 5PM after Mass is over. Families decorate their cars and hand out candy to children. There will be concessions, a haunted house, and a costume contest. Hope to see you there!

Communio will have their monthly dinner on Sunday, October 20th, more information to follow…
